I joined the Board in February of 2005. I had attended a few fundraisers for The Bearen Foundation, and immediately realized a connection with their obvious compassion for animals. It took me a little time, but I eventually contacted the Board, and asked if I could join them! I was invited to attend a board meeting, met everyone, and before I knew it, I was an official Board Member of the Bearen Foundation!
We work hard, but we always seem to have a great amount of fun, in whatever we do. I have never met a more caring group of individuals. I truly believe that we as people, can be ‘measured’ by the caring we have for animals and pets. It’s been said that people who show compassion for animals, will ALWAYS be kind & caring individuals. It’s true!
I sincerely treasure my association with all the people I have met thru this wonderful organization, and all the furry ‘friends’ we have helped!
